MoS Seed Spreaders at Loisaida Festival 2019
Loisaida Parade & Pageant debuted the long awaited Seed Spreader Skirts!
Such an incredible show of talent.We are humbled to be amongst these artists.
The show was short on costume wearers/holders. Plenty of ppl wanted to wear the seed sowers!!The seed spreaders bring joy down from the mountains to cheer up the sad urban clowns missing their urban renewal leaders gone away.
We had 5 costumes prepared. At the Last minute we had two more wearers. That’s five. We raced to dress Jk then DD, then Sebastian, his friend and remembered Dani was going to wear one too. But we only had three skirts at the stage. There were 5 seed pod hats thanks to Joanne & Derek who brought them to the stage area. Dani found on her own the skirt and hat.

Now to devise a way to hold the seeds in the hoops until ready to spill. Maybe no holes on the very bottom. We taped them closed until the cue & also kept them vertical until needed.
An amazing whirlwind début to be a small part of. Now we live on.. and continue to plants as many seeds always as we walk the streets, bike the roads, hike the hills restoring plant diversity for nature & humanity.
Dandelions, mugwort, morning glories, poppies growing in cement cracks.
Let’s do a seed sowers’ bike ride along a worthy seed sower location. Kayak. Skates or blades would work too.
DYI: wear the skirts and hike on the beach, mountains or in urban blight.
Anywhere that needs biodiversity. Just select the appropriate seeds for the location.
MORE OF THE SHOW led by Loisaida resident artist puppet masters Daniel Polnau, Adam Ende, Pablo Varona Borjes, Dani Fabrizi, with great support from Alex Millan, Paola Michelle , Bryan Fernandez, Elisa Blynn, Kevin, Francisco and other co-conspirators. Everyone created magic from recycled scraps and pure ingenuity!
