Parsley with Bokashi fertilizer, photo by dd maucher

Early this season I took a bucket of finagled bokashi fermented Food waste to sandwich in the terrace planters. Then I put in the seeds.

I have never grown parsley from seed very well. Piece a cake.

Look at how tall this grass is behind this wild tiger. It is twice as high as usual with the Dr Earth organic soil alone.

After pots were all prepared and seeded. I topped off the half empty bokashi bucket with organic soil. I shook it some then left it open to assimilate. 2weeks later I have potent soil fertilizer that can be mixed with soil for transplants. The straight bokashi isn’t good for roots.

I didnt add too much to the pots – sort of like spreading peanut butter. The plants are digging it!

I used this container store bucket. It seems to work. It’s the right size for one who lives in the city (we eat out a lot).

I have two and in the winter I don’t go to the garden as much do I have three or 4 — saving up for Spring potting and new bed prep.
