Dee Dee, Elizabeth Detjens Maucher (Mauker) Living System Designer of creative habitats for 100% of life.  As a socio-eco systems designer, DD collaborates with artists, planners, biochemists, natural scientists, green builders, material innovators and other visionaries to create lifestyles of beneficial succession for air, water, soil and selves. The ongoing health of the earth and life on it is our bottom line. Our first customer.  Dee Dee’s planning & designs include built & land drawings, business plans, programming and visual communications and identity. Once we serve earth’s systems the lifestyles magnificently unfold before us. These elaborately connected systems are mere by-products of a natural systems approach: much observation, pattern mapping, research and science.  All supply chain and resources flows are designed to interconnect as thriving eco, built and social ecologies— without one the other doesn’t exist.

You and me and the world

DD’s Living Systems Design consultants are practiced in the MoS LoBS Lifestyles of Beneficial Succession. We’ve created a team of like-minded people in their communities who bring their skills together to build regenerative systems.  Our services are available for individuals, communities and businesses who want to be exponential in their reslationship building from you and me — to the world. We think relationships to self, others and the earth are critical to the future of any plan. We create resilient exponential networks aligned with natural patterns.

The team thoroughly researches building projects from soil, water, bioregion and community to world interconnectivity, interiors, landscape, programming, outreach, business plans — in our method of listening & observing, once we find the water flow the plan cascades, all unfolds.  We are putting form to what the situation manifests.  We love to think-tank, research, advise, plan, design and build. We address macro and micro systems. We analyze resilience from a microscopic level as well as study larger global economic patterns. DD’s Living Systems Design with the MoS LoBS cohorts achieve the necessities for a better today and future. We are societal, ecological and economic. We connect relationship to the bioregion and international sphere.

Exponential abundance is possible only because we design for it.

Our inspiration thrives on these meaningful relationships that create ongoing intradependence.

The MoS LoBS Archive is a catalog of spiraling ever morphing Livign Systems Design projects are to be shared with the international community.

Art Myth

Art as a Catalyst

Dee Dee, The Master of Succession (MoS) Collective’s Instigator & Director, continues to create community spaces, experiment and evolve vibrant restorative biological systems for all life. We are bioaccumulative and regenerative after all. For MoS she takes on the role of catalyst; to throw out fantastical futures to inspire and empower others to go beyond. (We can always scale back). Doodle your most awesome future— as long as it restores water, air, soil and selves. We then *track our steps backwards to the present. Therein lies a path forward!  (*Concept “backcasting” is from Bfi.org design science studio cohort).  We are people who create products, services within like-minded systems in an economy we co-create that catalyzes the exponential beneficial succession of air, water, soil and selves.

DD’s work & shared observations have spread and spurred innovative ideas at museums, schools, centers like The New Museum, Parsons/New School, NYU, medicinal edible urban gardens, vertical home gardening/wearable farm stands, fringe puppet shows. She is mostly known for years offering lessons with the effective microorganisms that ferment food waste and restore waterways to live abundantly in our lifestyles from the microbe up. These are the first of the favorite beneficial succession cohorts: the beneficial microorganisms! Annually we put on Beneficial MudBall Balls & Ephemeral Piazzas. We even have an online version.

MoS participants learn to map nature’s Lifestyles Of Bioremediation and Symbiosis (LoBS). The steadily expanding beneficial by-products are resources.

MoS collaborations have created by living in the LoBS lifestyle for years:
The Floating Bioremediating Sculpture which represents biophilic futures that restore the living Earth, us. Hosted by Earth Celebrations.
The Mud Ball Ball: #mbb. The Beneficial Mud Ball Beneficial Ball:  A Celebration of Bioremediation and Symbiosis grew the Ephemeral Piazza. The MoS Ephemeral Piazza (EP) birthed the East Village Wellness Circle with Dr Wendy Henry of CRREW & Acumobile.
All the above projects include elements of The biodiverse MoS Harbor Phyto, Myco, Micro, Moss, Mollusk & Me.  The Hpmmmmm (the “p” is silent), a series of restorative activities hosted by Bio Bikers and or the Beautifying Pushcarts of Ave C.
all the above form the Microbes to Metropolis 6 Chronicles, 36 books, 202 chapters, toward living LoBS which next birthed The Plaza of the Wind Series

MoS’s practice of collaboration brings forth the beneficial succession of air, water, soil and selves which spill forth with exponential spiraling serendipities. Open to everyone who wishes to dive in.
