Jersey City: Where do I want food and flowers?

Jersey City – Reinvent & Develop “Farms In The City – Know Food, Know Freedom

LIBERTY LANDING &  LIBERTY PARK!

As a frequent visitor to Liberty landing I would like to see food growing around the marina. As well as the vast parkscape around the Statue of Liberty is a perfect spot for FOOD freedom. LIBERTY STATE PARK:  A huge farm or community gardens would be a great symbol for the nation and a great resource for local people.  Imagine that was a landfill! We are TURNing the Tables on Time.

I would also plant wild berries, fruit trees and honey suckle along the walking corridor to/from the Path. If not for people picking — other aromatic flowering edibles … to feed the wildlife and soil.

Since the low tide at LL has a noxious stench there I would like to use bioremediation to clean the waterways.

Gardening food to eat anywhere will bring an acute awareness to the areas hazards of health. Currently community gardeners are trying to build healthy landscapes and remediate around their gardens.

Some people around LL will start mitigating the muck up themselves. If several people are growing food locally locals would themselves respond (respond  – ability). Slowly the noxious fumes of Liberty Landing low tide would dwindle. The fumes from which I ran away.  Waterfront skyrise corporations would follow; run by their yummy tummy employees eating and living locally. Then the heavy consumers, corrupt and uneducated-in-natural-systems people would follow the corporations, and then the followers would follow.. and then New Jersey citizens will have plenty of good healthy food b/c we all want it.

We are all on the same team when it comes to simple happy living and growing clean food. Our global bottom line, a human necessity is to maintain clean water, air and soil for the future.
