La Plaza Cultural is the location for the annual Loisida Latin Film Festival. My first attendance. Really nice short films. High quality, well done and interesting. Serendipity: I ran into two old friend from college days.

Earlier I helped Ross clear the entwined morning glories from the back fence.they are blocking the sun from the new blueberry bushes. The start of our edible forest garden.

We snacked on the afternoons pickings of tomatoes — until we broke down and ordered pizza from Gruppo’s and shared wine from Brix wine shop across te Street. (run by a La Plaza Gardener)

Beforehand was a fashion show. Very sexy fashions — distinctive of the hot expressive latin culture. I watched while spaying the EM-5 foliar spray on the plots and my legs. It kept the Mosquitos off me. I figured if it kept pests off plants it would work on me. It did so I sprayed it along the pear gooey pathways too. This is EM-5 we made last fall. It has garlic, neem oil, apple cider vinegar –etc. (Ingredients are on the web site.)
