Thank-you everyone who made it to the Beneficial Mud Ball Beneficial Ball.

Photos below! I didn’t get the photo ops until Keat Reminded me. More photos maybe to come from other. Check Facebook.com/moscollective also

The event started with champagne and strawberries courtesy of Greg Sherman.
Then Shig stated with an explanation of beneficial microbes and how to make mud balls.

People took turns making mud balls — several children were there to help. We broke out the oysters for shucking.

Although Shig started out the mud ball teaching once the food and drinks were happening teachers were everywhere teaching the new comers — luv that.

We danced to the neighborhood salsa music with our muddy hands in our mud ball gowns.

We had several interesting ppl join us with their own exciting sustainable projects. MoS will gather these knowledgeable engineers. scientists and visionaries in a MoS Think Tank about succession.

Paul Mankiewicz spoke about microbes and bioremediation. He masterminded the revitalization of El Jardin. It was a toxic pile of rubble before. Check The Gaia Institute NY for more info.

Times-up bicycle activist group came by with their sound bike to lead the procession to the water. They had just finished their annual fountain ride celebrating public space by dancing in fountains.

Throwing our oysters shells into the river to build oyster habitat for future oysters that filter an impressive number of gallons of water per day while also not killing themselves w the toxins. Amazing.
