Sewing old T-shirts in to very cool bikinis.
We upcycled a great t from Food Democracy Now! with a quote in the back of the bottom short shorts from Obama on letting folks know from where their food comes. The top was designed w the front of the t-shirt. Label GMO’s and their logo.

• We supported the fracking issue by experimenting with our new concept The MoS Fracktail. We offered The Flaming Frack, an alcohol drink that lights on fire but it was too bright to see the flame with 151. We felt this was too dangerous. Maybe we will try an 80 proof in a darker setting.

• MoSers made an easy DIY decadent body butter with Ayruvedic herbs for skin food based in nutritious coconut oil and cocoa butter with a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon.
“Never put anything on your skin that you can’t also eat.” quote from the shop live live in the East Village.

Liz of Raganella.com was there with her natural BuG Spray, sun lotion and coffee body scrub— all non-toxic and smell the coffee scrub smells great and is certainly edible if you choose.

• Instead of composting food waste MoS demonstrated the fermenting of food waste method. Examples of the fermented starter bran and different items that come w that pattern of living. He natural probiotic house cleaner and “reoderizer”. super potent vials of bokashi fertilizer: mix 1/1000. We also jarred up some bokashi: I blended my fermented food waste and jarred it up in amounts good for sandwiching in the soil of a window box.

Connecting to Others:
• People filled out the Abundance Map to share their favorite neighborhood spots , their needs and resources. We are behind in updating the on. Line version. Please go and fill out your abundance in the map! (link in nav bar)

Jen Abrams from OurGoods.com was there to talk about the barter web site they created.

Wendy Brawer from GreenMap.com was there talking about their awesome products and services. The web site has Great composting maps for nyc and Brooklyn.

Connecting to environment:

• We had urban seeds to give away – morning glory seeds that grow great up fire escapes and for fences of empty lots. They are like weeds and very resilient. These seeds are huge 4″ purple flowers. Image the street now. (might also be mixed w light blue)

The Beneficial Mud Ball sign up was busy. Many people stood and read through the MoS book.

So we are taking care of our selves, having fun with others while inherently making the earth a better place — instead of ignorantly worse. it’s much more restorative, resilient, meaningful and fun.

Thank you Nature’s Path Granola for a lots of these perfect sized carry bags. Now we at least look more organized. There were no taxis available anywhere. We were three so it worked out until one by one people hot off at their metro stop. After one by one, the carriers split off to their homes DD carried all this from the train car down to the bus stop back to the MoS workshop. The city is fullllll of people and the suburbs are emptying out. We need better solutions. Join MoS and Contribute to mud balls for the Gowanus on IOBY.org
